These Light Paintings are done by Stephen Knapp. He has created a way to skillfully make light do as he wants! This skill has created a new dimension to art. The color schemes that are most common in his work are typically colors within the primary color wheel of light which are created through spectrum. The sizes of his work varies to the amount of space he has to work with. The one being shown is approximately 80 feet in height and extends forever. Or until it hits a wall. The thing is is that light bounces off of surfaces. Which is what is being seen here. Light is bouncing off of the mirrors that Knapp has skillfully placed throughout a single area. A sense of unity is being created by this use of light. It all is tied together and creates a balance. The light has in some way created a depth like feeling. As if one could walk through the walls as the lights have and go where the lights are ending. The feelings that are aroused in one is one of pure energy it is amazing to be surrounded by the light. The light has created line. It is unique you don't typically thing of line when thinking of light. But this pinpoint accuracy of the direction of light has been formed to manage that exact thing. The hues that are being made are what makes this piece all that much more stunning. To see this in real life would be breath taking. Knapp's uniqueness in using light is so amazing and makes you think about how he created it.
